Andrew Ayre, CEO

The company was started by industry veteran Andrew Ayre who wanted to give publishers and developers the option of choosing a test team that is focused on process and open communication. Andrew has started a number of successful development companies in his 15 years in this industry including Digital Eclipse, Backbone Entertainment and most recently Other Ocean Interactive.

John Eden, Director of Business

John is a former journalist who tried government for awhile where of all things he got into video game development (long story but checkout gameplan.ca to see why we are in PEI, Canada.) Most recently he was in operations with a national mobile phone company.

Travis Hunt, QA Manager

Travis’ love of testing video games began long before his first real job. One of the original console lovers (Yes there were consoles before the Super Nintendo!), Travis spent countless hours playing and breaking games. After finishing up his education in the IT Computer field, testing found its way back into Travis’ life when he took a role as a casino video game tester at Spielo, a GTECH company, where he honed not only his testing skills, but also his management skills for 5 years before leaving to pursue a career in his real passion, video games! Travis brings with him to Sculpin QA multiple years of management experience along with over 5 years of industry testing experience.

Ryan Filsinger, QA Project Manager

Ryan brings to the team 6 years of IT and management experience and has been hands on with video games for over 22 years.  After spending 7 years in Calgary getting an education and working in network support, he moved back to the Maritimes due to the price of housing.  Living in Charlottetown and working for a game company was a dream he had when he was a kid, and now has become a reality.  A large majority of his free time is dedicated to working with teenagers, with the purpose of building future leaders.

Mike Lewis, Sr. Test Engineer

Mike brings the knowledge gained from a degree in Game Design and hands-on development experience into the front lines of testing.  His familiarity with programming jargon ensures developer feedback will be understood properly, and that tests will then be made to reflect the actual state of the game instead of stamping it with a cookie-cutter test suite.
